Coryis the owner and managing partner of LifeSpring Home Care of Pittsburgh. After 19 years (in 9 different cities) as a finance professional turned executive in the energy industry, Cory and his family decided to put roots down in Pittsburgh and launch their own business. With an extensive business background - varying from technical analytics and risk control to industrial sales - Cory has been building teams and fixing problems in the energy trading and retail energy industries and is now turning that expertise to benefit an under-served population here in the City of Champions. Technically, Cory is a CPA with a BBA from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Personally, Cory is someone who cares deeply about his community and is driven to help our loved ones in Pittsburgh stay in their home.
Toni has been with LifeSpring since we opened our doors on July 1, 2014. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and has been an auditor, a professional recruiter, and an Information Systems teacher before suspending her career to raise three children. Of course, simply raising three children wouldn’t be enough for Toni, so she also joined the boards of St. Paul’s Preschool and Markham Elementary. Since rejoining the workforce, Toni has whipped the office into shape and keeps LifeSpring in top form. “Home care has a personal connection for me. My grandmother went through a period of declining health and finding good help was very difficult during her time of need. I wanted to do something to help others in the same situation, and when Cory started the company I was immediately on board.”
Cecelia joined LifeSpring in August 2015 and is consistently one of our patient’s favorite nurses. Before joining our team, ‘Cece’ had worked in a skilled nursing facility for several years, alternating between skilled care and the Alzheimer’s unit. She loves the relationships she is able to build with her patients and feels truly rewarded when she receives the feedback (which is often immediate) as to how appreciative her patients are to have our care. One day, Cece is going to leave her hectic career behind and sell popsicles in Hawaii, but until then she is dedicated to providing some of the best nursing care in Pittsburgh!
Samantha joined LifeSpring Home Care of Pittsburgh in January 2015 as a Registered Nurse. ‘Sammi’ graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County in 2011 and spent several years working at Mercy Hospital in both the Trauma and Rehabilitation units before joining us at LifeSpring. Sammi loves getting to know her patients beyond their diagnoses and helping them achieve their goals each visit. “I like the quaintness of this family-owned company – they treat you with respect and no matter how stressful the day, it always ends with a smile!” Sammi – we feel the same and so do our patients!
In addition to being a Registered Nurse, Sammi is Trauma and Stroke certified.
Jen has over 30 years of clinical, physical therapy experience with the senior population. Now that she has “un” retired, Jen helps our team by carrying a heavy load in our back office. Jen is officially in charge of Authorizations Management, and unofficially in charge of therapy mentoring, social media, quality control, appeals, and anything else we can think of! Jen loves the friendly and family-like environment at LifeSpring… and we love having Jen on our team!
